Carousel Node

The Carousel Node is located in the Messaging Nodes category and allows you to add a carousel as a response to a user’s query in a conversation. The carousel can include one or more slides, images, and buttons with specific actions.

⚙ Node configuration
The following fields are required to configure the node:
  1. Name (optional): Allows you to customize the node’s name within the flow, replacing the default value.
  2. Transition Time (required): Indicates the number of seconds that must elapse before automatically moving to the next slide.
  3. Slides: Allows you to configure the slides included in the carousel.
⚙ Slide configuration
To configure each slide, complete the following fields:
  1. Title (required): The title displayed on the slide.
  2. Image (required): The URL of the image displayed on the slide.
→ The URL must be secure (HTTPS) and publicly accessible. Otherwise, the bot won’t be able to display the image.
  3. Buttons: Allows you to add buttons to the slide.
⚙ Button configuration
To configure each button, complete the following fields:
  • Label: The text displayed on the button to the user.
  • Type: Displays different button types, each with a specific behavior:
→ Message: Allows you to trigger an intention when the button is clicked. The Virtual Assistant interprets the intention and returns the response associated with it.
→ Link: Allows you to redirect users to links.
  • Value: The field where you specify the button’s value. It must contain the intention to reference when the button type is Message or the destination URL when the button type is Link.
✅ Key points
  • If Transition Time is set to 0, automatic transitions to the next slide are disabled.
  • Supported image formats are jpg, jpeg, png, and gif.
  • URLs pointing to files stored in Drive are not supported.
  • The Title, Image, Label, and Value fields can be configured dynamically using variables from the msg object by enclosing them in curly braces. For example,  inserts the value contained in the msg.myParameter variable.
