Engage allows you to create your own templates for sending messages from the SMS channel.
Note that:
- You can include text formatting, emojis, and links in the message box and any variants you add.
- There is no limit to the number of variants you can incorporate.
- A standard SMS supports up to 160 plain characters, including letters, numbers, and common symbols. If your message includes emojis or Chinese characters, the limit is reduced to 70 characters per message.
- If the character limit per message is exceeded, the user will still receive the full content in a single notification, but the cost will adjust based on the number of segments the message is divided into.
- Keep in mind that if the template contains variants, the characters in the real data used will add to the total count.
- Multimedia components like images or videos and button configurations cannot be added.
- To organize your templates, you can categorize them upon creation as Marketing, Utility, or Authentication.
- The template list updates automatically, so once created, your template will appear immediately in the list.
