Tips on how to ask questions in the semantic engine

  1. Test the content in the test chat before loading a new form of question (FDP), in case it already responds to the expression you are going to add as FDP.
  2. Generate as many FDPs as possible for each intention.
  3. Do not write FDPs similar to each other, e.g.: How many megas do I have / How many megas do I have to surf? FDPs should be syntactically different, but semantically similar, meaning that they should be expressions thought of as real alternatives of the initially loaded intention, asking in different ways the same thing, but without using the same words.
  4. The PDFs of an intention should be different among the PDFs of other intentions. That way, there will be less percentage of similarity, which reduces the occurrence of disambiguous responses.
  5. Add both short (Min. 2 or 3 words) and long (Max.25) FDPs to give context to the semantic engine.
  6. Creates FDP without spelling errors.
  7. Do not change the order of the words in the question forms, one alternative order is sufficient for the bot to understand.
  8. Use word joins only in case you need to add synonyms to a set of words such as "points card", "Trust Bank gold", etc. Or when separately their meaning is different, for example "personal loan" and "mortgage loan".
  9. Check the training section, where you will see all the unresolved bot queries. It may be that the answer your customers are looking for is in your content, but not with that way of asking. From there you can incorporate them directly into your intent. If you detect any suggestion in the section, which is poorly written by the user who consulted, add it manually written in the correct way.
  10. Check out the chats section, which will help you to learn more about how your customers interact with the bot, how they ask questions and interact with it.
  11. Think like a customer, since no one knows your customers, their way of thinking and communicating better than you do. Put yourself in their shoes and try to think about how they would ask about a certain topic.
  12. Use the recommendations for ways to ask questions suggested by Generative AI.
  13. Be aware of the answer, which you offer to the customer, because it can help you to find other ways of asking linked to the initial intention.
