Tips to check in case an intention does not give the right answer

Here we share a series of suggestions with related articles so that you can check how to correct if your intended response does not work as expected.

  1. Evasive: if in the query you answer with evasive, it is valid that it is indeed loaded in your knowledge base. ➡ Find out here, what are evasives and how to use them.
  2. Publish changes: check to make sure you have saved and published your changes. ➡ Solve the problem of not seeing the changes made to your content.
  3. Channel or condition: check that the intent has the channel or condition configured, corresponding to where you want the response to be displayed. ➡ Create multiple responses for an intent.
  4. Ways of asking (FDP): must be loaded as a way of asking in the intent. ➡ Add ways of asking.
  5. Word unions: if there is a word union within the intention, check that the words that make up the intention are not disjoint in any of the question forms.➡ Word unions, see how to create or separate them.
  6. Disambiguate or matched with another intent: when you ask the bot a question, it gives an answer belonging to another intent (matcheo) or it offers different intent options for you to define which one you are asking about (disambiguate). ➡ About disambiguation
    1. Test chat: in case your intent matches wrong, always check what answer it gives in the test chat, which will give you the precise information about what the intent is and the specific question form it matches with. ➡ Test the content of your virtual assistant:
    2. Words within the intention: we often have the same words in different intentions or ways of asking and they end up being similar to each other, causing incorrect clicks. For example: How do I pay my bill and What are the payment methods? You should change these words, create an intent that is not similar to the other, depending on the text and intent, unify the answer and the FDP in a single intent or perhaps even make a button panel
    3. Synonyms: can lead to typing errors, for example, if the word "pay" is added to the word "cancel", it can be confused with cancel service and not cancel the invoice. ➡ Synonyms: important facts and how to load them.
